May is National Masturbation/Radical Self-Love Month, and in conjunction with Shilo McCabe’s “I Masturbate…” photo exhibition, the Center of Sex and Culture wants to give you the opportunity to celebrate the power of masturbation and radical self-love!
This writing class will invite participants to consider why and how getting ourselves off can be a powerful healing practice. Facilitated by Jen Cross of Writing Ourselves Whole and inspired by Shilo’s photos, we’ll spend a few hours sharing stories about our relationship to masturbation, orgasm or other aspects of sexuality; our mixed feelings about getting ourselves off; different ways we have found to love ourselves; drafting responses to the photos and much more.
No previous writing experience necessary! At the end of our three hours together, participants will have several new, hot and surprising pieces of writing, will be connected with a supportive creative community, and be warmed up for a month of radical self love!
