Speaking of don’t miss LA Zine Fest coming this weekend. I guarantee you there will be some scrumptious queers making delicious art. So don’t be disappointed that you missed it and GO.

So check out our continuous updates @ our Zineography

It’s Sunday. And I know you didn’t anything all weekend besides make awesome zines in your room, and thinking no one will ever read it.

Well guess what, you should send it to Maximum Rock & Roll to get it reviewed and get some exposure. And if the zine you made is sex related you can bring to me, Miss Ian, at the Center for Sex and Culture and your zine will forever be cataloged in our deviant zines library. Doesn’t that sound awesome?

Maximum Rocknroll Needs Your Zines!!!

Hey everyone! So MRR's been reviewing zines probably longer than any of us have been alive hahaha! Lately the submissions we have been getting have been dwindling, but I know there are a ton of really awesome zines out there!

MRR is a really awesome way to get your zine out there to people who wouldn’t normally read it, we distribute internationally and have a circulation in the tens of thousands!

We also don’t just review other music zines about punk and hardcore, but zines that are made by punx and for punx: perzines, comics, DIY zines, political zines, etc, the list goes on and on!

If you would like to get your zine reviewed send one copy along with a note outling:

Naughty Zinesters!

There is quite the sensual reading this Saturday evening at Rock, Paper Scissors in the East Bay. I encourage all those with steamy, literary tendencies to attend. And if you have extra time, I always encourage anyone in downtown Oakland to see Feelmore 510, one of the best sex stores in the Bay Area. I know you already heard of it, and if you haven’t been, you’re planning on going. So go, and then come listen to some erotica. Check out Feelmore’s tumblr, and support safe local sex.

With Wondercon not in San Francisco this year there is no great comics
events happening in April. Wouldn’t it be great to have a local comics
event that was as unique as San Francisco? The Center for Sex &
Culture is a fantastic multi-use space that is perfect for a small
gathering of local artists whose works need to be celebrated for their
stance outside the mainstream.

Bookish Beasts is a one day zine fest for the creators of art, books
and comics featuring sex, sexuality, gender and erotica. We want to
give you the opportunity to exhibit your works, and connect with local
readers who love and collect adult material.

This is a not for profit event that is free to the public. Although we
live to support local artists we will need some help from you to make
this happen. We are asking for $20 to split an 8’ table with chairs. You will be
responsible for cashiering your own sales and all profits are your
own. The Center has lots of chairs but will need to rent tables and
promote the event. If this sounds like a great event that you want to
get involved with please confirm right away.

The event is one day. April 14th from noon to 6pm. There will be some
presentations and workshops following.

CSC provides judgment-free education, cultural events, a library/media

dornating copies of your work to the library and helping spread the word
about this great resource. All of CSC Library books are searchable through
Goodreads and CSC’s Zineography, along with their growing zine catalog/database.

If interested in participating or for more information contact us. gallery@sexandculture.org.

If interested in partcipating in the CSC Zineography Community Cataloging Project, email the library at library@sexandculture.org
